CD Replication
CD Replication is process that starts with a glass master, that is mould and is stamped to create your CD-ROM. Your CD is then pressed using the master stamp creating pits in the surface and metalised to create the reflective coating required for the reading of the pits by the laser in CD player. A protective lacquer is added to create a top surface suitable for printing. CD replication has a higher set up cost with this process and more suitable for larger runs. When printing larger production runs it is more cost effective to use offset printing and screen printing.
